Remember 2020, when the only place to walk was around your own neighborhood? I used to daydream about strolling through Magic Kingdom and Hogsmeade Village. And wondered, how many blocks from my house would the castle be?
Thus, this Bingo card was born.
Turns out it’s a really good way to train for a trip
Once I started looking at actual park walking distances, I realized this is an excellent way to prepare for the real thing.
Start with just checking off a few boxes on your walk, then work up to cover an entire row or column.
If you can get a black-out in a weekend, you’ll be in great shape for your trip. This Bingo covers about 16 miles, and it’s likely that you’ll walk at least that far in two park days.
Get your kids involved
It’s really important that you aren’t the only one in your party who can go the distance. Even if it’s riding in a stroller, the kids need to be ready for your vacation marathon too.
See if your kids can figure out how many blocks it is to walk from your house to the imaginary castle. Then do that circuit a bunch of times.
